In conjunction with the celebration of Tumpek Krulut, Bali Governor Wayan Koster has directed the implementation of free healthcare services for the public simultaneously across Bali, starting Saturday, 1 August 2026. These services will be provided by all government-owned and private health service units in regencies and cities throughout Bali, serving as a way to honour the essence of Tumpek Krulut by glorifying humanity through love and compassion.

This directive was formalised through the Bali Provincial Government Letter Number B.01.400.7/34847/SETDA, dated 29 July 2026, addressed to mayors and regents across Bali. The letter emphasises that the Rahina Tumpek Krulut holds the significance of honouring humans with full love and affection. As an implementation of these values, local governments have been requested to provide free medical services to the community on 1 August 2026, involving all regional government and private health units.

Governor Koster stated that healthcare is a vital component in building a healthy, productive, and high-quality Balinese human resource base. The free healthcare services are also expected to encourage the public to become more aware of their health conditions and undergo early screenings.

“Healthcare is not only the responsibility of the government, but is a shared investment in building healthy, productive, and quality human resources in Bali. Through this simultaneous free healthcare service, we invite the entire community to take this opportunity to check their health conditions as early as possible,” said Koster.

To ensure optimal implementation, mayors and regents across Bali have been asked to coordinate all heads of health service units in their respective regions. The Bali Provincial Health Office is also coordinating with district and city health offices, hospitals, community health centres (Puskesmas), clinics, and other health facilities to ensure service readiness.

The free healthcare services will commence at 08:00 WITA until completion. Local governments are also required to ensure the readiness of service facilities and to socialise the activity widely so that the community can utilise the services optimally.

Koster has invited the people of Bali to utilise the momentum of Tumpek Krulut by visiting the nearest health facilities with their families. According to him, health awareness is a tangible form of honouring life and improving human quality.

“We invite all Balinese people to come to the nearest health service facilities on 1 August 2026. Let us make the momentum of Rahina Tumpek Krulut a real manifestation of care for the health of ourselves, our families, and others. A healthy society is the primary foundation for realising a progressive, harmonious, and prosperous Bali,” said Koster.
