Tumor removed from child's head

JAKARTA (JP): Doctors at the Army-owned Ridwan Meureksa
hospital in Central Jakarta have succeeded in removing a
protruding tumor from the head of a child in 15 minutes.

The medical team led by Sabarullah operated on 12-year-old
Abdul on Wednesday. He is a child of a fisherman from the Seribu
Islands, North Jakarta, Lt. Col. Didi Supandi, spokesman for the
City Military Command said yesterday.

The operation was funded by the Jakarta branch of the Golkar
political organization.

A civic mission team from the City Military Command and Golkar
had visited the island recently and found Abdul suffering from
the tumor. (29)
