Tulungagung Regent Arrives at KPK Building After Being Caught in Raid

Tulungagung Regent Gatut Sunu Wibowo arrived at the KPK’s Merah Putih building this morning. Gatut arrived after being caught in the Corruption Eradication Commission’s (KPK) hand-catching operation (OTT) last night. “This morning, the team brought the Tulungagung Regent to Jakarta for further examination. The Regent arrived at the KPK Merah Putih building around 06:50 WIB,” explained KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to reporters on Saturday (11/4/2026). Budi explained that Gatut immediately underwent intensive examination. He stated that in this case, several other parties would still be brought to Jakarta and are estimated to arrive in the afternoon. “Intensive examination is being carried out immediately. Meanwhile, for the other parties, examinations are currently being conducted at the Tulungagung Police Resort Police Headquarters,” said Budi. It is known that the KPK conducted a hand-catching operation (OTT) in Tulungagung, East Java. In the OTT, the KPK caught Tulungagung Regent Gatut Sunu Wibowo. “True (OTT in Tulungagung),” said KPK Deputy Chairman Fitroh Rohcahyanto when contacted on Friday (10/4). “Yes (the Regent has been secured),” he added. The KPK has not yet provided further details regarding the OTT. The KPK has 1x24 hours to determine the status of the secured parties. A total of 16 people were secured in the OTT.
