The Tulungagung MBG Task Force in East Java is optimising the monitoring mechanism for the programme through a community complaint system to ensure that service quality remains maintained.

Task Force Chairman Johanes Bagus Kuncoro said on Thursday that they have opened a complaint channel or hotline as part of the monitoring and evaluation system for the MBG programme implementation in the area.

“This hotline is opened to ensure that the programme implementation runs according to standards and can be immediately followed up if there are obstacles in the field,” said Bagus.

According to him, the complaint mechanism serves as an important instrument in quality control, from menu aspects, food safety, to distribution to beneficiaries.

In response, the MBG Task Force verifies every incoming report and coordinates with relevant parties, including service providers and managers of the Nutrition Fulfilment Service Units (SPPG).

Additionally, monitoring is strengthened through periodic field monitoring to ensure that Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) are carried out properly.

“We encourage the public to actively report if they find any discrepancies so that they can be handled immediately,” he said.

The MBG Task Force hopes that through strengthening the public participation-based monitoring system, the quality of MBG programme services in Tulungagung can be continuously improved sustainably.
