Tugu Insurance Maintains International Anti-Bribery Certification Amid Transparency Demands

PT Asuransi Tugu Pratama Indonesia Tbk (Tugu Insurance) has maintained its ISO 37001:2016 Anti-Bribery Management System (SMAP) certification for four consecutive years since 2021. The company believes that strengthening corporate governance and risk management is key to maintaining stakeholder trust amid increasing demands for transparency in the insurance industry.

Edi Yoga Prasetyo, Director of Compliance and Risk Management at Tugu Insurance, stated that the implementation of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) is not solely aimed at meeting regulatory requirements but also serves as a foundation for strengthening risk management, enhancing competitiveness, and building the trust of customers, shareholders, and regulators.

The ISO 37001:2016 certification, issued by TÜV SÜD Indonesia, covers two strategic functions of the company: procurement of goods and services, and claims services. To maintain this certification, Tugu Insurance underwent an external audit that included evaluations of its systems, document checks, and interviews with management.

In addition to retaining the international anti-bribery certification, Tugu Insurance was recently recognised with the Indonesia Excellence Good Corporate Governance award. The award honours the company’s consistency in applying governance principles and effective risk management to build stakeholder trust.

Edi Yoga emphasised that amid the dynamics of the insurance industry, applying the principles of transparency, accountability, responsibility, independence, and fairness is crucial for maintaining business resilience and increasing stakeholder confidence. He affirmed that Tugu Insurance will continue to prioritise these principles in every business process and is committed to strengthening its culture of compliance, risk management, and innovation to create added value for all stakeholders.
