PT Asuransi Tugu Pratama Indonesia Tbk (Tugu Insurance) is inviting the public to participate in a social movement to support traffic accident survivors who have experienced disability. The programme is being conducted through the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities during the holy month of Ramadan. Through this campaign, Tugu Insurance is calling on society to demonstrate compassion towards accident survivors who have lost limbs and require mobility aids to carry out their daily activities.

Every day, millions of people leave their homes to work with the hope of returning safely. However, traffic accidents often dramatically change someone’s life and can result in limb loss, which impacts their ability to walk, work, and support their family’s needs.

Based on data from the Indonesian National Police Traffic Corps (Korlantas Polri) in 2025, approximately 141,000 cases of traffic accidents were recorded within one year. Of these, more than 13,000 victims sustained serious injuries. Meanwhile, according to data from the World Health Organisation (WHO), approximately 10 to 30 per cent of traffic accident victims have the potential to experience permanent disability. In light of this situation, Tugu Insurance is collaborating with digital donation platform Kitabisa to channel assistance to accident survivors.

The assistance provided includes mobility aids such as prosthetic legs, prosthetic arms, and wheelchairs, which are expected to help recipients return to leading more independent and productive lives.

As a form of support for this charitable movement, Tugu Insurance will double every donation made by the public up to 21 March 2026. This step is expected to expand the social impact of the programme whilst providing tangible support for accident survivors.

Tugu Insurance’s Corporate Secretary, Dudi Subekti, said the programme aims to bring new hope to survivors who are struggling to recover following an accident.

“Through this programme, we wish to invite society to collectively bring new hope to those who are struggling to rise, both psychologically and physically after experiencing the tragedy of an accident. Every contribution, no matter how small, can make a real difference in the lives of the beneficiaries,” he said.

Members of the public who wish to participate can make donations through the page https://kitabisa.com/campaign/tuguhardolnas2026. Through this programme, Tugu Insurance hopes that increasing numbers of people will be moved to contribute in helping traffic accident survivors so they can resume their lives more successfully.

With the spirit of sharing in the month of Ramadan, the company hopes this movement can strengthen social solidarity whilst opening opportunities for survivors with disabilities to return to stepping towards a future that is more independent and filled with hope.
