TTU DPRD Member Named Suspect in Dr Icha Case, PKB Awaits Court Ruling

Nubertuss Tubani, a member of the Timor Tengah Utara (TTU) Regional House of Representatives in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) from the PKB faction, has been named a suspect in the alleged intimidation of the late Dr Eliza Princila Ututi Pakaenoni, known as Dr Icha. PKB politician and DPR RI member Dipo Nusantara Pua Upa said the PKB would await a court ruling before imposing sanctions.

“For me, let’s wait until the court ruling first,” Dipo said briefly when contacted on Monday (31/8/2026).

Dipo did not elaborate further on what he meant. He instead directed that the matter be referred to the Chairman of the PKB NTT Regional Executive Board, Aloysius Malo Ladi.

Previously, the East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Regional Police announced developments in the alleged intimidation case against the late Dr Eliza Princila Ututi Pakaenoni, known as Dr Icha. Police have named three members of the Timor Tengah Utara (TTU) Regional House of Representatives as suspects in the case.

As reported by detikBali on Wednesday (26/8), the three TTU DPRD members are Therensius Lazakar from the Golkar Party, Nubertuss Tubani from PKB, and Veronika Lake from PDIP. The suspect designation was made by the NTT Regional Police’s Directorate of General Criminal Investigation following a case review on Monday (24/8).

“Three TTU DPRD members have been named as suspects, namely VL, TL and NT,” said NTT Regional Police Head of Public Relations, Senior Commissioner Henry Novika Chandra.

Henry said the case review was conducted to determine the suspect status in the alleged criminal intimidation case against Dr Icha.
