TSDC Bali Craft Brand Enters Local and Global Markets via BRI's LinkUMKM Platform
Amid the rising trend of environmentally friendly fashion, handmade craft products made from natural fibres in Bali are increasingly capturing market attention. One such brand is TSDC Bali (Tanda Sayang dan Cinta), based in Celuk Village, Sukawati District, Gianyar Regency, Bali.
The brand offers a range of handmade craft products from natural fibres including ata, rattan, and pandan. Through modern design sensibilities that honour traditional weaving techniques, these natural materials are transformed into fashion items such as bags, wallets, and accessories.
Among the most popular products are beach bags, hats, and woven wallets, which consumers frequently use for holiday activities and daily use.
Origins in a Meaningful Product Idea
TSDC Bali’s founder and owner, Ni Wayan Sri Mustika Dewi, explained that the business was built on a desire to create crafts that are not only visually attractive but also carry emotional value for their users.
“TSDC began in 2020 from a desire to bring forth ‘signs of affection’ through personal and meaningful products. The name ‘Tanda Sayang dan Cinta’ (Signs of Affection and Love) is not merely a label but reflects the philosophy that every handmade product carries the affection of its maker to its wearer. The process of building this business started with exploring Bali’s abundant natural fibres such as ata, pandan, and rattan. From small-scale operations, TSDC has maintained consistency in quality and design relevant to the modern market, eventually developing into a brand recognised at various exhibitions,” she explained.
Leveraging MSME Empowerment Platforms
In developing its business, TSDC Bali utilises the MSME empowerment ecosystem provided by Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) through the LinkUMKM platform.
By the end of 2025, the platform has been used by more than 14.98 million MSME operators as a means of online business mentoring, ranging from capacity building to strengthening market access.
