Jakarta – State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi confirmed the death of Indonesia’s sixth Vice President, Try Sutrisno. The announcement was made by Prasetyo Hadi, commonly known as “Pras,” in a message to journalists at the Presidential Palace this morning.

“That is correct. We express our deepest condolences,” he said.

He disclosed that he had instructed RSPAD (Gatot Soebroto Military Hospital), Jakarta Garrison Command I, and the State Secretariat Ministry to provide the best possible attention.

Earlier, news of Try Sutrisno’s passing was conveyed by the Communication Team of the Association of Army Retirees (PPAD) through Egy Massadiah in a brief message to CNBC Indonesia this morning.

“I received this information from Major General (Retired) Doctor Komaruddin Simanjuntak, Chairman of PPAD, who has been monitoring Pak Try’s health at the hospital,” said Egy.

“We apologise for any mistakes and shortcomings of the deceased during his lifetime. We pray that the deceased’s deeds and worship are accepted by Allah Almighty. We request your prayers so that the deceased may find the best place beside Him.”
