Try cancels Soreang trip

SOREANG, West Java (JP): Minister of Health Sujudi had to
abruptly open the Village Information Week here yesterday after
Vice-President Try Sutrisno's departure from Jakarta was delayed
for over three hours due to bad weather.

Try, accompanied by Minister of Information Harmoko, was
originally scheduled to open the festivities at 9 a.m., but by
12:15 p.m. the Vice-President's plane had not taken off from the
Halim Perdana Kusuma Airport.

As reported by Antara, organizers believed bad weather and fog
covering the intended flight route were the causes of the delay.

The ninth Village Information Week, which is being held until
Friday, is aimed at developing a strong "social and cultural
dynamic" of the community through an exchange of information.
