United States President Donald Trump reported additional income of more than US$1.4 billion, equivalent to Rp 25 trillion, over the past year. The boost in his wealth came from his family’s cryptocurrency business, which reaped significant profits.

According to Reuters and Forbes on Wednesday, Trump’s total wealth is now reported to be US$6.5 billion, or Rp 116.7 trillion. The additional income of US$1.4 billion is based on a review of Trump’s 2025 financial disclosure submitted to the US Office of Government Ethics.

According to the documents released by the Office of Government Ethics on Tuesday local time, Trump’s companies received nearly US$800 million from World Liberty Financial, a crypto company founded by Trump and his sons. This income includes more than US$250 million from the sale of crypto tokens and over US$250 million from the sale of World Liberty shares. Trump also reported US$635 million in income from the sale of his own Trump meme coin.

The data indicates that the crypto business has drastically altered the US President’s financial condition. In other words, Trump gained his additional wealth from digital assets that benefited from policies he enacted. By comparison, in his financial report a year earlier, Trump recorded just US$57.35 in income from token sales at World Liberty. That figure has since surged ninefold in this year’s report.

A recent Reuters report estimated that the Trump family has earned at least US$2.3 billion (Rp 41.3 trillion) from crypto-related projects since he returned to the White House in 2025. After resuming office, Trump implemented various policies and initiatives seen as beneficial to the industry, ranging from federal rules for stablecoins to reduced scrutiny of the sector by the Department of Justice and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

For 2025, Trump also reported more than US$80 million in income from lawsuit settlements with various media companies, and US$52 million from licensing his name to overseas property developers, primarily driven by deals with Middle Eastern partners.

The White House, in a statement, asserted that Trump and his family have never been involved in a conflict of interest. “Neither the President nor his family has ever – and will never – engage in a conflict of interest. President Trump is proud to make America the crypto capital of the world through his executive actions,” said White House spokesperson Anna Kelly. “All actions taken by President Trump and his administration are done in the best interest of the American people – and any so-called ‘journalist’ suggesting otherwise is simply recycling the same tired, false narratives peddled by Democrats and the mainstream media for a decade.”

Although the White House has previously stated that Trump’s business interests are now managed by his children, the President remains the beneficiary of the assets held in trust, which ultimately receive the income.
