Trump Warns of Further Attacks on Iran, Sets Sights on New Targets
US President Donald Trump warned that he would strike Iran again. Trump said the forthcoming attack would be very severe. ‘Today Iran will be attacked very severely!’ Trump said in a Truth Social post, reported by AFP on Saturday, 7 March 2026. Trump also said he would widen the attacks to target new targets. Trump threatened to destroy Iran. ‘Territories and groups of people who were not previously considered targets are now being seriously considered for total destruction and facing certain death, because of Iran’s bad behaviour,’ he stated. It is known that the US and Israel have launched a joint strike into Iranian territory on Saturday morning Iran time. The strike is claimed to have eliminated threats posed by the Iranian regime. Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei was reportedly killed in his leadership complex on Saturday (28 February), on the first day of the joint US-Israel attack that triggered the Middle East war. A spokesperson for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Brigadier General Ali Mohammad Naeini, previously said Iran was fully prepared for a ‘long war’ with the United States and Israel. He added that Iran was ready to introduce a new generation of strategic weapons not yet seen on the battlefield. The Iranian general emphasised that the wave of attacks under Operation ‘True Promise 4’ conducted so far had used only a small portion of Iran’s actual capabilities. ‘The initiative and new weapons of Iran are coming soon,’ the spokesman said. ‘This technology has not yet been deployed on a large scale. The enemy should be prepared for painful attacks in every upcoming wave of operations,’ he told Press TV, Iran’s state-backed broadcaster, on Friday (6 March 2026).
