Trump Warns Iran: Big Things Are Coming

US President Donald Trump issued a severe warning on Sunday (20/09/2026) that he has entered a highly crucial “decision-making phase” regarding the ongoing war with Iran. He warned that “big developments” will occur soon if Tehran fails to change its attitude and behaviour.

“The question is whether and when I will destroy the entire country? They had better watch their attitude,” Trump told the US television network, Fox News, while detailing his approach to the conflict.

The US President explained that the options currently available to him include completely destroying the country, allowing it to “rot” economically, or negotiating a peace deal.

He added that “very big things will happen in the near future.”

When asked about the UN General Assembly session starting on Monday (21/09/2026), Trump hinted at his willingness to pursue a diplomatic route. He stated that the “possibility remains open” to holding a meeting with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian.

Addressing the broader tensions in the Middle East, Trump emphasised that Washington continues to maintain intensive communication with the Houthi group in Yemen. This follows the latest ballistic missile attacks launched by the Houthis into Saudi Arabian territory.

According to Trump, the group has agreed not to attack or engage in confrontation with US military forces.
