Trump: US Will Destroy Anyone Approaching Iran's Enriched Uranium

Washington (ANTARA) - President Donald Trump has stated that the United States will destroy anyone who approaches Iran’s stockpile of enriched uranium.

“We are watching it very closely… If anyone approaches that place, we will know about it and we will blow them up,” Trump said in an interview with journalist Sharyl Attkisson.

Trump previously expressed his frustration over Iran’s response to the latest peace proposal put forward by the US side to end the war.

“I just read the response from what is called the ‘representative’ of Iran. I don’t like it – ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE!” Trump said on the Truth Social platform on Sunday.

The statement was made a few hours after Iranian state media reported that Tehran had conveyed its response to the US peace proposal through Pakistani mediators.

On 28 February, the US and Israel began attacking several targets in Iran, including Tehran, resulting in casualties and infrastructure damage.

Iran then carried out a retaliatory action, launching attacks on Israeli territory and US military facilities in the Middle East region.

On 7 April, Washington and Tehran announced a two-week ceasefire. Subsequent talks held in Islamabad, Pakistan, yielded no results.

Without reports of hostilities resuming, the US imposed a blockade on Iranian ports.
