Trump: US Needs Denuclearisation Deal with Russia and China

Washington (ANTARA) - US President Donald Trump said on Wednesday (17/6) that the United States needs to reach a denuclearisation agreement with Russia and China. “We need to make a denuclearisation deal. We don’t need to be able to destroy the entire world 300 times. That’s horrible. If we can make a denuclearisation deal, I would really like it,” Trump said during a press conference. He said one of the two countries is very willing to discuss the deal, while the other is less enthusiastic. “One of the two countries is very willing to do it, while the other is less willing. And you need all of them,” he stated. However, Trump did not specify which nation was more cooperative on the issue. In May, Trump said he supported denuclearisation discussions involving the United States, China, and Russia. However, he declined to reveal whether the three countries had made any specific commitments regarding the matter.
