Trump: US Could Cripple Iran's Energy Facilities in One Day

Washington (ANTARA) - US President Donald Trump said on Sunday (12/4) that the United States could cripple Iran’s energy infrastructure in one day. “I can destroy Iran in one day. I can take down one facility in one hour. I can destroy their entire energy sector, including all their power plants,” Trump said in an interview with Fox News. He added that Iran would have to rebuild its electricity infrastructure from scratch if such an attack took place. The US is also prepared to destroy bridges in Iran, he said. Trump also announced plans for a naval blockade in the Strait of Hormuz to close access to the route for all ships without exception. He instructed the US Navy to track and intercept ships that pay Iran to cross the strait. US Vice President JD Vance, who is the main US negotiator, said on Sunday that negotiations between the US and Iran have ended without an agreement.
