US President Donald Trump underwent a medical examination at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. The White House released an official statement confirming Trump is in good health.

White House physician Sean Barbabella confirmed Trump’s vital organs are in excellent condition despite his advanced age, including heart, lung, and neurological functions.

“President Trump remains in very good health, demonstrating strong cardiovascular, pulmonary, neurological, and overall physical function,” Barbabella wrote in a White House statement, cited from DetikHealth on Saturday, May 30, 2026.

“Cognitive and physical performance is excellent. He is fully capable of carrying out all duties as Commander-in-Chief and Head of State,” Barbabella added.

An artificial intelligence-based electrocardiogram (ECG) analysis revealed Trump’s heart age is significantly younger than his chronological age — approximately 14 years younger.

Additionally, Trump underwent the Montreal Cognitive Assessment to screen for early dementia risk, scoring a perfect 30 out of 30.

Trump Ordered to Diet

Despite the positive health findings, Trump’s weight increased from 101.6kg to 107.9kg. Barbabella issued strict preventive counselling, advising dietary changes, increased physical activity, and weight loss measures.

Medical staff also noted swelling in Trump’s lower legs, attributed to chronic venous insufficiency — a condition where damaged vein valves cause blood pooling in the legs. “There is slight swelling in the lower legs, with improvement compared to last year,” the presidential doctor wrote.

Trump’s Bruised Hands

Doctors highlighted Trump’s high-dose aspirin consumption of 325 mg daily, exceeding the standard preventive recommendation of 81 mg. This dosage causes bleeding and bruising on his hands. Trump stated he takes the higher dose to thin his blood for heart health, saying, “They prefer I take a smaller dose. I take a larger one, but I’ve been doing it for years, and it causes bruising,” according to the Wall Street Journal.
