Trump to discuss Iran, trade, and energy with Xi Jinping
Washington - US President Donald Trump will discuss trade, energy resources, and the situation around Iran with Chinese President Xi Jinping during his upcoming visit to China, said US Protocol Chief Monica Crowley on Wednesday.
Trump is expected to visit Beijing on 14-15 May for negotiations with Xi Jinping.
The American leader’s visit to Beijing was initially planned for 31 March-2 April but was postponed due to the situation related to Iran.
“Clearly, trade is at the top of the list, Iran, global oil supplies, and global energy routes,” Crowley said in an interview with Breitbart News.
According to the Protocol Chief, Trump is reshaping the global balance of power, and China understands this. That is why they are not showing any nervousness.
Crowley also expressed her view that the US president will meet with the Chinese leader “in full control.”
