Trump Threatens to Annihilate Iran with Thousands of Missiles Over Assassination Plot

US President Donald Trump issued a harsh threat against Iran on Friday (10/7), stating the American military is prepared to launch thousands of missiles if the country attempts to assassinate him. In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump asserted that the United States has readied a massive combat force. He claimed 1,000 missiles have been directed at Iran, with thousands more ready to follow if the threat to his life is executed. “1,000 missiles are ready and aimed at Iran, with thousands more to follow immediately, should the Iranian government carry out its threat, which has been broadcast around the world, to kill or attempt to kill the sitting President of the United States, in this case, ME!” Trump wrote. Trump added that operational orders regarding this matter have been given. He claimed the US military is currently in a position of being “ready, willing, and able” to carry out the mission for a period of one year, with an option for extension. Furthermore, Trump warned that the attack aims to completely obliterate and destroy the entire territory of Iran if Tehran is proven to have attempted his assassination. This open threat emerged following an intelligence report from Israel shared with Washington. According to a report by The Wall Street Journal, Israeli intelligence indicated a new plan by Iran to target Trump. The situation complicates relations between the two countries, which had previously shown signs of de-escalation. In June, with mediation from Pakistan, Iran and the US had actually signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to end the conflict that erupted in late February. Despite the peace agreement, Trump stated that the ceasefire status with Iran has now “ended”. Nevertheless, he mentioned that Washington is still open to continuing negotiations at Tehran’s request.
