Trump Suspects Putin Aids Iran in War with US and Israel

US President Donald Trump has alleged that Russian President Vladimir Putin may be assisting Iran in the war with the United States and Israel. Trump made this suspicion public during an interview with radio.

“I think he may be helping them a little bit, yes, I think so. And he might think we’re helping Ukraine, right?” Trump said in an interview with Fox News Radio, according to AFP reporting on Friday (13 March 2026).

Several US media outlets have reported that Russia has provided targeting information to Iran to attack US forces during the ongoing conflict.

The US-Israel war with Iran has been raging since Saturday (28 February). The conflict began when the US and Israel launched a series of attacks on Iran.

The American and Israeli strikes killed Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Iran subsequently launched retaliatory strikes against Israel and US facilities in the Gulf region.

To date, the war continues. Most recently, Iran launched missiles towards Tel Aviv. Sirens wailed in Tel Aviv, followed by several explosions.

“The IDF (Israeli military) identified missiles launched from Iran towards the State of Israel. Defence systems are operating to intercept the threat,” said Israeli military officials, according to AFP reporting on Friday (13 March).

Al Jazeera also reported that Israeli military forces are attempting to intercept missiles launched from Iran. Israel has warned citizens to take shelter.

“You must enter a protected area after receiving a warning, and remain there until further notice,” said Israeli military officials.
