Trump Surrounded by Pastors and Prayed Over at the White House

Video footage released on Thursday (5 March 2026) shows United States President Donald Trump joining a group of pastors in prayer in the Oval Office of the White House. The clip, circulated on social media by an aide, shows Trump seated at the Resolute Desk with his eyes closed as evangelical pastors and televangelist Greg Laurie lead the prayer. In the prayer, Laurie asks for protection and strength for Trump and the United States forces he described as facing ‘difficult times’. Several members of the group are seen standing around the president, with some placing a hand on his shoulder as the prayer is said. Meanwhile, Margo Martin, a long-time aide and communications adviser to Trump, said on X that the president welcomed pastors who had come ‘from across the country’.
