Trump Says US-Iran Will Collaborate to Remove Buried Nuclear Dust
US President Donald Trump has stated that the United States will collaborate with Iran to dig up and remove uranium buried in Iran. According to detikNews, Trump made this statement in a social media post at the start of a two-week ceasefire. “The United States will work closely with Iran, which we have determined has undergone what will be a very productive Regime Change! There will be no uranium enrichment, and the United States, working with Iran, will dig up and remove all ‘Nuclear Dust’ (B-2 Bomber Aircraft) that is deeply buried,” Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social, as reported by CNN on Wednesday (8/4/2026), quoted from detikNews. Trump also said that sanctions relief for Iran will be discussed and that many aspects of the 15-point plan have been agreed upon. Previously, Trump and Tehran stated that the 10-point plan proposed by Iran would serve as the basis for talks. “We are, and will, discuss Tariff and Sanctions relief with Iran. Many of the 15 points have been agreed to,” Trump wrote. In a second social media post on Wednesday morning US time, Trump warned that any country supplying military weapons to Iran will face tariffs. “Countries supplying Military Weapons to Iran will immediately be Tariffs’d, for all goods sold to the United States, 50%, effective immediately. No exceptions or exemptions!” he said. Trump is also considering the possibility of the United States participating in securing the Strait of Hormuz in a “joint venture” with Iran. “We are considering doing it as a joint venture,” Trump told ABC News when asked about Tehran imposing tolls for passing through the strait. “This is a way to secure it–also to secure it from many others,” he added. It remains unclear whether Iran will be open to this plan, as talks are expected to continue during the ceasefire. Earlier this week, Trump said he prefers the US, not Iran, to impose duties on ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz.
