Trump says US Helped 100 Million Barrels of Oil Pass Through Strait of Hormuz

President Donald Trump has stated that the United States successfully carried out a mission to ensure the safe passage of more than 100 million barrels of oil and 200 merchant ships through the Strait of Hormuz. Trump said he had instructed the US military last month to conduct a “secret mission” to support tankers and merchant ships transiting the Strait of Hormuz safely. “Today, I am pleased to announce that the effort successfully ensured more than 100 million barrels of oil safely transited the Strait of Hormuz to the open market,” the US President said via the Truth Social platform on Wednesday. During the operation, more than 200 commercial vessels sailed “safely” through the Strait of Hormuz, he said. “This hugely successful endeavour is because the United States, not Iran, controls the Strait of Hormuz,” Trump said. “Their military has been defeated, and their economy is collapsing. It is all over for Iran!” the US President added.
