Trump says King Charles III will help the US in Iran operation

Washington - US President Donald Trump stated that King Charles III of the United Kingdom would likely support the United States in its operations against Iran. “If it were up to King Charles, he might help us against Iran,” Trump told reporters on Wednesday (29/4). He added that the king would also follow US advice regarding Ukraine. Earlier in March, Trump expressed his disappointment with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer for refusing to help the US in the conflict with Iran. “This is not the Winston Churchill we are dealing with,” Trump said. The US President also criticised Starmer over his migration and energy policies. On 1 April, Trump said he was seriously considering withdrawing the US from the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO) after allies refused to join the US-Israel war against Iran. He stated that he no longer sees Europe as a reliable defence partner after European countries rejected his call to send warships to the Strait of Hormuz.
