US President Donald Trump has emphasised that the agreement reached with Iran currently does not have final status. This statement was made by Trump on the sidelines of the G7 Summit in France when asked about the certainty of the cooperation agreement between the two parties.

“No, it is not final,” Trump told reporters. “This is merely a memorandum of understanding (MoU). If I do not like it, we will go back to bombing them and dropping bombs on their heads.”

Trump even repeated this military threat openly as a stern warning to Tehran. “If I do not like it, if they do not know the rules, we will immediately go back to dropping bombs right in the middle of their heads,” he asserted, as reported by Al Jazeera on Wednesday (17/6/2026).

Despite issuing these threats, the US President maintained that the framework of the agreement between the US and Iran is “very strong”. Interestingly, he did not detail the specific points within it. “No one knows exactly what is in it, but this agreement is very strong,” Trump said.

He also added that the positive impact of the easing tensions was immediately felt in the global economic sector. Trump projected that the Strait of Hormuz would be fully reopened within “one or two days”. “The party that is happiest right now is the market (stocks),” he said.

While conversing with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, Trump claimed there is a 99.99 per cent chance that Iran will never possess nuclear weapons in the future. The focus of the discussion between the two heads of state at the G7 Summit was indeed centred on the dynamics of US-Iran negotiations.

“The sector that truly welcomes this is the stock market, which immediately surged sharply. Figures soared through the roof, while global oil prices immediately plummeted,” said Trump. “The market response speaks louder than mere words.”

Denial of Rp4,500 Trillion Reconstruction Fund

On the other hand, Trump strongly denied media reports suggesting that the US-Iran agreement includes a clause to provide reconstruction funds amounting to 300 billion US dollars (approximately Rp 4,500 trillion) to Tehran.

“We will not spend a single cent, not even 10 cents,” Trump said in rebuttal. “We are not making investments, and we are not providing any aid funds.”

Regarding the involvement of his regional allies in the Middle East, Trump stated that Washington is not asking Gulf nations to plant investments in Iran. However, he did not prohibit them from doing so if they chose to.

“If they want to do it, go ahead. However, I expect they will not invest in the near future until they see how the behaviour (of Iran) unfolds moving forward,” Trump remarked.
