Trump: Iran to Hand Over Enriched Uranium to US
Moscow (ANTARA) - US President Donald Trump claimed that Iran is ready to transfer enriched uranium to the United States, according to a report by The Washington Post on Thursday (16/4). “Iran does not have nuclear weapons, and they have agreed to it,” Trump said. “Iran has agreed to it very firmly. They agree to hand over the nuclear dust that is stored deep underground, because of the attack we carried out with B-2 bomber aircraft.” Trump used the term “nuclear dust” to refer to highly enriched uranium, according to the report. On 28 February, the United States and Israel launched attacks on targets in Iran, including in Tehran, causing damage and killing civilians. Iran then retaliated by attacking Israeli territory and US military facilities in the Middle East. On 11 April, Iran and the United States held talks in Islamabad after US President Donald Trump announced a two-week ceasefire agreement. However, US Vice President JD Vance stated on 12 April that both sides failed to reach an agreement and the US delegation returned without results.
