Trump Declares He Will Retaliate After Three US Military Personnel Killed in Iranian Attack
Three members of the United States military have been confirmed killed in retaliatory strikes by Iran. Donald Trump has warned Iran to lay down its weapons or face retaliation.
“I once again urge Iran’s Revolutionary Guards, military and police to lay down their weapons and accept full immunity or face certain death,” said Trump in a video address from his home in Florida, as reported by detikNews citing AFP on Monday, 2 February 2026.
“That will be certain death. It will not be pleasant,” Trump said.
Iran has launched multiple attacks against US military bases in retaliation for Trump’s strike that killed Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Iranian missiles struck American and Israeli bases across the Middle East.
The attacks have resulted in deaths in Israel and the United Arab Emirates, with explosions devastating luxury economic centres in the Gulf Arab region.
The Pentagon stated that three US military personnel were killed in the operation and five others were severely wounded in the operation known as “Epic Fury.”
“Unfortunately, there will likely be more casualties before this operation ends,” said Trump.
“But America will avenge their deaths and deliver the most devastating blow to the terrorists who have waged war on, essentially, civilisation,” he added.
