Trump: Decision to end Iran strikes to be made jointly with Netanyahu
Washington — United States President Donald Trump has stated that the decision to end military strikes against Iran will be made jointly with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
“I think it is collaborative… to some extent. We have already spoken. I will make the decision at the right time, but everything will be considered,” Trump told the Times of Israel newspaper.
Trump made this statement when asked whether he would be the sole decision-maker in ending attacks against Iran or whether Netanyahu would also have a role in that decision.
The United States and Israel began striking multiple targets in Iran on 28 February, including in Tehran, causing damage and civilian casualties.
Iran subsequently launched retaliatory strikes against Israeli territory and targeted United States military installations in the Middle East as an act of self-defence.
