Trump Claims US Has Many Ways to Win Conflict with Iran

Washington - United States President Donald Trump admitted he does not know whether the situation involving Iran will heat up again into a full-scale military conflict, but he stressed the US has many ways to win if that happens. When asked by reporters on Wednesday (8/7) about the likelihood of further escalation in tensions with Iran leading to a full-scale military conflict, Trump replied, “I don’t know. We win very quickly. There are other ways to do it. We have many ways to win, but we have already won militarily.” In the early hours of Wednesday, US forces launched a series of devastating strikes against Iran. Iranian forces subsequently reported carrying out retaliatory attacks against a number of US military bases in Bahrain and Kuwait. Iranian authorities accused the US of violating a memorandum of understanding on the cessation of hostilities. Then on Thursday, US Central Command (CENTCOM) stated that American forces had struck approximately 90 targets inside Iran. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) stated it had retaliated against the US strikes by attacking two American bases in Kuwait and two bases in Bahrain.
