Trump Claims Iran's Military 'Destroyed', Says Mojtaba Khamenei '90% Eliminated'

US President Donald Trump has claimed that Iran’s military capabilities have been severely crippled following recent American operations. In an interview with Fox News, Trump stated that Iran’s naval and air forces, as well as its air defence systems, have been ‘destroyed’ and that its top military leaders have been killed.

Trump also commented on the status of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, claiming he is ‘almost 90% eliminated’. Mojtaba Khamenei has not made any public appearances since assuming leadership, with all official statements issued in writing. Reports suggest he is recovering from injuries sustained during joint US-Israeli strikes.

The remarks come amid escalating tensions, with both nations exchanging attacks despite a previously signed ceasefire and memorandum of understanding. Trump also signalled a new economic pressure campaign, announcing plans to reimpose a blockade on Iran and charge fees for safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz, further threatening stability in the Gulf region.
