Trump claims 'full victory' after Iran ceasefire

Istanbul (ANTARA) - United States President Donald Trump stated that the United States has achieved all its military objectives in Iran and described the situation as a “full victory” following the ceasefire, Sky News reported on Monday morning. In a brief phone conversation with the television station, Trump called the ceasefire “very good” and reaffirmed that the US objectives have been met. “We have done everything we wanted to do militarily,” Trump said. Trump also said that the 10-point plan proposed by Tehran appears to provide a basis for negotiations. “Those are very good points, and most of them have been fully negotiated,” he said, adding that he would not describe Iran’s demands as “maximalist.” However, Trump warned that if the ceasefire and negotiations do not hold, the US is prepared to resume military action. Trump said that if the ceasefire and negotiations “do not go well, we will go right back there very easily.”
