Trump claims China could buy up to 750 Boeing planes

Washington (ANTARA) - US President Donald Trump stated that the number of Boeing planes China has agreed to purchase, based on previously announced agreements, could reach 750 units.

Previously, according to the US leader, Beijing agreed to buy 200 Boeing planes, although China has not yet confirmed the agreement.

“I said this to Boeing and General Electric, we will use General Electric engines, which are very good. If they do a good job, we can reach 750 units,” Trump told Fox News.

Chinese President Xi Jinping stated that he and his counterpart, Donald Trump, agreed to build a stable and strategic, as well as sustainable, China-US relationship.

“President Trump and I also agreed to build a constructive China-US relationship with strategic stability, promote the development of a stable, healthy, and sustainable China-US relationship; and bring more peace, prosperity, and progress to the world,” said President Xi during a state dinner at the Great Hall of the People, Beijing, Thursday (14/5).
