Trump Boasts of US Military Might: 'Look at Venezuela and Iran, We Destroyed Them'

President Donald Trump declared that the United States had destroyed Venezuela and Iran using its military power during a speech at the ‘Salute to America 250’ Independence Day celebration. Speaking at the National Mall in Washington, D.C., on Saturday, Trump asserted that both nations had been crushed. ‘Look at Venezuela, look at Iran. We have destroyed them, destroyed their militaries,’ Trump said. Trump also reminded Americans of the country’s many accomplishments, stating that the US had tamed the wilderness and built the Panama Canal. ‘Americans crossed the Great Plains, climbed the peaks of the Rocky Mountains. We tamed the wilderness and conquered the frontier and built an empire,’ he said. ‘We built railroads, erected skyscrapers, those beautiful skyscrapers, and dug the Panama Canal, which is considered the eighth wonder of the world,’ he continued. Trump said the US created the most powerful industry in the world, which he argued has made the American military mightier than ever. ‘This is the unstoppable spirit that created the most powerful industry in the world and built the strongest military ever. And today, our military is stronger and mightier than ever before,’ he stated.
