US President Donald Trump has emphasised his nation’s energy dominance amid Washington’s war against Iran. He stated that the US now possesses massive energy reserves and is no longer dependent on supplies from the Middle East region. Trump claimed that control over these energy resources was achieved after the US military swiftly took over Venezuela. He described this as a strategic move to bolster America’s economic position on the international stage. “We no longer need their oil or anything they have, but we are there to help our allies. Gas prices will drop quickly, and our economy will soon roar back like never before,” Trump asserted in his speech at the White House on Wednesday evening (2 April 2026). Regarding the escalation in the Middle East, Trump announced that Operation Epic Fury has completely paralysed Iran’s naval and air forces. He noted that most of the regime’s leaders, whom he considers terrorists, have now been killed as a result of those precision strikes. The US military has also reportedly destroyed Iran’s main nuclear facilities using B-2 stealth bombers. Trump warned that satellite surveillance is being conducted rigorously to prevent any attempts to rebuild that infrastructure. “We will hit them very hard over the next two to three weeks. We will bring them back to the Stone Age, where they belong,” Trump said while explaining the continuation of his military attack phase. Trump emphasised that the next targets for attack are all of Iran’s power plants if a diplomatic agreement is not reached soon. However, he has deliberately not yet touched Iran’s oil facilities so that the country still has a small chance to survive economically. He also compared the efficiency of this operation, which has been running for 32 days, to previous major American wars that took years. According to him, this speed proves the excellence and unmatched strength of the US military. “The world is watching, and they cannot believe the power, power, and brilliance they are seeing. The United States will be safer, stronger, and more prosperous than ever before,” Trump concluded in his national statement.
