Trump Boasts He Will Swiftly Annihilate Iran's Entire Ballistic Missile Arsenal

US President Donald Trump said the United States and Israel are strong enough to defeat Iran. He boasted that he would soon annihilate Iran’s ballistic missiles and indicated that he would kill the regime’s leader.

DetikNews, quoting AFP, on Thursday (5 March 2026), Trump, as reported by AFP, said that the would-be successor to the slain supreme leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, ‘will end up dead’ and that Tehran’s ballistic missile arsenal is being ‘destroyed rapidly.’

‘We’re doing fine on the battlefield, in short. On a scale of 1 to 10, how would you rate it? I say about 15,’ Trump told technology executives at the White House.

Trump judged the US to be too powerful for Iran. He said the leadership of the Iranian regime would soon disappear. ‘We are in a very strong position now, and their leadership will quickly vanish. Anyone who seems to want to be the leader, they end up dead.’

Speaking on the fifth day of the war, Trump reiterated his justification for attacking Iran. He argued that attacking Iran was justified because of its nuclear weapons programme.

‘When a madman possesses nuclear weapons, bad things happen,’ he added.

Iran is known to be preparing for a three‑day state funeral for the late Khamenei. Citizens will have the opportunity to pay their last respects to the martyr leader at the Imam Khomeini Grand Mosque in Tehran.

‘From 22:00 local time, people may pay final respects to the deceased leader of the nation by visiting the Imam Khomeini Grand Mosque,’ said the Islamic Development Coordination Council, as quoted by the IRNA news agency.
