MOSCOW (ANTARA) - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has discussed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Washington and Tehran with US President Donald Trump, according to a statement from Netanyahu’s office. President Trump stated that the final points of a peace agreement between the United States and Iran have been agreed upon by all involved parties, including Israel, and the deal could be finalised within days. “President Trump spoke this evening with Prime Minister Netanyahu regarding the memorandum of understanding being drafted with Iran to initiate negotiations,” Netanyahu’s office posted on X on Thursday. The statement clarified that Israel is not a party to the agreement. However, Netanyahu expressed appreciation for Trump’s commitment to ensuring that the final agreement following the talks will include “the elimination of enriched material, the dismantling of nuclear enrichment infrastructure, restrictions on missile production, and the cessation of Iran’s support for its terrorist proxies in the region,” the statement said. Meanwhile, news portal Axios reported that Trump’s announcement regarding progress in negotiations with Iran had surprised Netanyahu, as he had received no prior notification or warning.
