Trucks Diverted to Ciwandan Port to Reduce Congestion at Merak Port

Authorities carried out a truck traffic diversion at the Cilegon Timur toll exit interchange in Cilegon City, Banten, on Friday, 13 March 2026.

As Operation Ketupat Lebaran 2026 commenced, officers implemented traffic engineering measures by prohibiting trucks from crossing through Merak Port and instead redirecting them via the Cilegon Timur toll exit to cross through Pelindo 2 Ciwandan Port. This measure was designed to reduce congestion in the queue of private vehicles and buses at Merak Port.
