A three-axle truck collided with a Transjakarta busway separator on Jalan S Parman, West Jakarta, causing traffic congestion in the area.

According to KBO Satlantas Polres Metro Jakarta Barat AKP Sudarmo, the empty truck struck the busway separator at approximately 05:00 WIB. The impact caused the right side of the truck to become lodged on top of the separator, immobilising the vehicle.

“The empty three-axle truck struck the busway separator at the Gelong junction heading towards Tomang,” Sudarmo said on Friday (27 February 2026).

Sudarmo explained that the congestion resulting from this single-vehicle accident was substantial, with vehicle build-up extending to Grogol Flyover in the direction of Tomang.

“Traffic deceleration extended to Grogol Flyover heading towards Tomang,” he clarified.

Recovery efforts commenced at 06:30 WIB using a tow truck, with the trapped vehicle successfully extracted by 08:00 WIB. Sudarmo reported that traffic in the surrounding area had returned to normal operation.

“The road is now clear and passable. Officers continue to restore normal traffic flow,” he added.

The TMC Polda Metro Jaya previously reported the incident via its X account. Images showed concrete barriers damaged and scattered across the roadway.

“A truck trailer struck the Transjakarta separator on the arterial road of Jalan S Parman, West Jakarta, across from Taman Anggrek Mall heading towards Tomang. Traffic in the Tomang direction has since returned to normal,” the TMC statement read at 08:25 WIB.

Video footage captured the recovery operation, showing the damaged concrete barriers and a truck tyre caught in the wreckage. During the tow operation, some vehicles traversed the Transjakarta lane before being halted to await completion of the recovery process. After the truck was successfully extracted from the barrier, normal operations resumed.
