Truck Stuck in Drainage Ditch Causes Traffic Gridlock in Cengkareng, West Jakarta
A Fuso truck was involved in a single-vehicle accident on Jalan Puri Kembangan in Cengkareng, West Jakarta, on Friday morning. The truck reportedly became stuck in a drainage ditch, causing traffic congestion during the morning commute.
The information was shared via the official X account of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police Traffic Management Centre (TMC Polda Metro Jaya) on Friday (20 February 2026). The truck was seen stranded on the road shoulder.
“A Fuso truck had its rear left wheel fall into a drainage channel on Jalan Puri Kembangan heading towards Cengkareng, West Jakarta,” the TMC wrote.
As a result, traffic flow around the location became heavily congested. Police officers were already stationed at the scene to direct traffic.
“Traffic conditions around the location are being monitored as busy and tending towards gridlock,” the statement added.
At the time of reporting, the vehicle evacuation process was still underway.
