Truck Stuck in Ditch in Cibubur, Causes Traffic Congestion Reaching Jagorawi Toll Road
A wing box truck became stuck in a ditch on Jalan Putri Tunggal, Harjamukti, Depok. As a result, traffic in the Cibubur area has been congested, extending to the Jagorawi Toll Road.
The incident occurred this afternoon. Photos received by detikcom show the truck stuck on Jalan Putri Tunggal, Harjamukti, Depok.
The left wheel of the truck is visible in the ditch. As a result, traffic from Jalan Jambore towards Cibubur and Cimanggis has been disrupted.
“Personnel are still managing traffic at the Harjamukti intersection because a wing box truck is stuck in the East Jakarta area,” said the Head of Traffic at the Depok Metro Police, Kompol Joko Sembodo, when contacted by reporters on Thursday (26/2/2026) at 7:20 PM.
He said that the Depok Metro Police Traffic Unit and the East Jakarta Police Traffic Unit are currently trying to evacuate the truck. As of 8:06 PM tonight, the truck has not yet been evacuated.
“It cannot be pulled using a tow truck, and the East Jakarta Traffic Unit is still trying to find other solutions and is contacting others to resolve the issue as soon as possible,” he explained.
Joko explained that the tow truck was not strong enough to evacuate the truck. Currently, personnel are still trying to evacuate the truck by calling a crane.
“Using a large tow truck is not strong enough, so we are waiting for a crane. We have been working together with the East Jakarta Traffic Unit. We first tried to pull it with a tow truck, but it was not strong enough, so we called a crane,” he said.
Joko said that personnel are still at the location to manage traffic. “Traffic is still flowing, managed in turns, the situation is relatively smooth,” he said.
One resident, named Bowo, said that the congestion has been occurring since this afternoon. He said that the congestion extends to the Jagorawi Toll Road.
“Near Sambak, there is a truck stuck in a ditch. The congestion extends to Jagorawi,” said Bowo when contacted at 7:20 PM.
Based on the Google Maps application, as of 7:39 PM, the congestion extends from Jalan Alternatif Cibubur to the Harjamukti intersection, specifically on Jalan Jambore. The disrupted traffic affects traffic towards Depok and Cibubur.
