Truck Restrictions Still in Effect, Transport Minister Urges Business Operators to Comply
Bekasi - Transport Minister Dudy Purwagandhi has reminded that restrictions on goods transport vehicles with three or more axles remain in effect until 29 March 2026. Dudy urged logistics transport business operators to continue complying with the regulations to maintain smooth traffic flow during the 2026 Eid al-Fitr transport and return periods. “We also thank the National Police Chief and his team, who in implementing these restrictions always prioritise service to the public, so that the three-axle vehicle restrictions can be carried out as best as possible,” he said. The Transport Minister hopes that all parties can continue to maintain discipline and cooperation until the Eid transport period ends. With public compliance, support from officers, and proper traffic management, the return flow is expected to proceed more smoothly, safely, and without incident. The policy applies to toll roads and national roads during the 2026 Eid homecoming period. In addition, Dudy also advised the public to utilise the early return period, namely on 26-27 March 2026. This step is considered important to reduce traffic density at the peak return flow, estimated to occur on 28-29 March 2026.
