Truck Restrictions Still in Effect, Transport Minister Strongly Warns Companies
Bekasi, CNBC Indonesia - Transport Minister Dudy Purwagandhi has once again urged companies using trucks with three or more axles to continue complying with the Joint Ministerial Decree on restrictions for such trucks during the 2026 Eid al-Fitr return flow.
According to him, the peak of the 2026 Eid return flow will occur again this weekend, on 28-29 March 2026. The truck restrictions are prepared until 29 March 2026.
“So, we want to remind once again that the restrictions on vehicles with three or more axles are still in effect until 29 March 2026, so we ask that you comply with these restriction policies for everyone’s safety,” Dudy said in his presentation at the Jasa Marga Toll Command Centre (JMTC) on Wednesday (25/3/2026).
Dudy will also warn companies using trucks with three or more axles if those trucks are still operating during the 2026 Eid return flow.
“We will summon and issue warnings to companies using those trucks. The hope is that it won’t happen again next year,” Dudy continued.
According to him, the restrictions are implemented for the safety of drivers, both those returning home for Eid and the truck users.
“The restrictions are carried out for the safety of those returning home for Eid. It is hoped that companies or entrepreneurs can understand the purpose of these restrictions,” he stated.
For information, the restrictions on trucks with three or more axles during Eid 2026 will apply from 13-29 March 2026. During that period, large trucks will be restricted on toll roads and main arteries for everyone’s safety. However, this policy excludes trucks transporting fuel (BBM), staple needs or basic commodities, livestock feed, and fertiliser.
