Truck restrictions loom: Cilegon East toll exit congested with vehicles

Ahead of the operational restriction period for freight transport trucks on mudik routes, effective from 13 March through 29 March 2026, the Cilegon East toll exit has begun experiencing heavy congestion from logistics trucks. As of today, these vehicles are being redirected to Ciwandan Port and Bandar Bakau Jaya (BBJ) Port in Bojonegara. However, observations at the location reveal that several truck drivers exiting the Cilegon East toll exit are choosing to turn around and re-enter the toll road to proceed towards Merak Port instead.
