Truck Hits Busway Separator; Denpasar Bus Stop Resumes Operations
The evacuation of a truck that struck the dedicated Transjakarta busway lane separator on Jalan Gatot Subroto, specifically in front of the Denpasar Bus Stop, has been completed. The Denpasar Bus Stop is now operational again for passengers to board and alight.
Observations at the location on Tuesday (22/09/2026) at 10:30 WIB showed that the truck involved in the accident had been removed. Traffic flow was observed to be smooth. Several concrete busway barriers were seen moved to the side of the road, and the wall of the Denpasar Bus Stop also sustained damage from the impact.
Transjakarta passengers are once again able to use the Denpasar Bus Stop. Previously, the Denpasar stop heading towards Cawang was unable to serve passengers due to the collision with the separator.
A local resident, Ugay, stated that the truck’s front tyre burst, which he suspects caused the vehicle to hit the busway separator. “It happened right here; the front wheel, I think. If it had veered left, it would have definitely hit [something else], so it was steered to the right. When it hit, it struck the concrete. If it had gone left, it would have been dangerous,” he said.
Ugay explained that traffic congestion occurred between approximately 05:00 and 09:00 WIB, and the truck was evacuated around 10:00 WIB.
The truck had struck the busway separator on Jalan Gatot Subroto, in front of the Denpasar Bus Stop, at 05:44 WIB. As a result, several Transjakarta routes passing through the area were temporarily diverted while the station was closed.
