Truck Container Gets Stuck Under Sentul Toll Road in Bogor, Causing Traffic Jam

A container truck became stuck on Jalan Alternatif Sentul in Babakan Madang district, Bogor Regency, West Java, temporarily blocking traffic.

The head of the Bogor Police’s Traffic Law Enforcement Unit, Inspector First Class Ares Rahman, said the single-vehicle accident occurred at around 6.30 a.m. local time. Traffic slowed considerably because other vehicles could not pass while the truck was lodged beneath the toll road.

“The vehicle was travelling from the Pancakarsa direction towards Simpang Sentul. Upon arriving at the scene, the upper part of the container became caught under the bridge’s underpass,” Ares said on Thursday (8/10/2026).

Joint officers then moved quickly to evacuate the vehicle. Ares said there were no fatalities or injuries in the incident.

“As a result of the accident, there were no casualties, and the losses are around Rp 2 million,” he said.

Meanwhile, social media users shared footage of the congestion caused by the stranded container truck, which was unable to move and partly blocked the carriageway.

Vehicles approaching from the Pancakarsa monument towards Jalan Alternatif Sentul were seen slowing down. The evacuation has now been completed and traffic flow has returned to normal.

“It’s clear now,” he concluded.
