Jakarta – A truck collided with a Transjakarta busway separator on Jalan Letjen S. Parman, Grogol Petamburan, West Jakarta, on Friday (27 February 2026) morning.

In video footage received by Kompas.com, an orange truck can be seen striking the separator, with its front right tyre becoming lodged atop the concrete barrier.

As a result, the truck became immobilised and blocked the rightmost lane of Jalan Letjen S. Parman, which has only two main traffic lanes.

“The truck collided with the Transjakarta separator, whilst the busway lane remains passable, with the tyre lodged on top of the separator,” explained Sudarmo when confirmed by Kompas.com on Friday morning.

Nevertheless, Sudarmo stated that Transjakarta bus services were unaffected and could proceed at reduced speed in the vicinity of the incident.

However, road narrowing occurred as motorcyclists and car drivers could only pass via the rightmost lane, resulting in traffic congestion.

“The traffic flow accessible via the busway lane and the leftmost lane experienced delays extending to Grogol Flyover towards Tomang,” said Sudarmo.

“Transjakarta recovery vehicles have arrived and are in the process of towing and evacuating the vehicle that struck the busway separator,” he added.

Until 07:50 WIB, the towing operation was ongoing and traffic remained congested.

Sudarmo urged road users to exercise caution and comply with traffic regulations to ensure the safety of themselves and other road users.
