Trouble on the trains

Trouble on the trains

From Warta Kota

The state-railway corporation is not improving its services;
it has even reduced the number of its wagons. The following
occurred on Sept. 4 at Bekasi Station. I wanted to take an
economy electric express train (KRL) scheduled to depart at 8:05
a.m.

After buying a fake ticket for Rp 2,500, I walked to the train
in question. The ticket was false because it had a new fare
stamped on it.

I was astonished to see the wagons, which used to be many, had
been reduced to one set. Consequently, the train, which should
have been an express, was jammed with passengers and over
burdened, making for inconvenient travel.

It seems the state railway corporation likes to make false
promises. The numerous statements it makes pledging to give the
best are evidently only a lie. We seem to have been continuously
tricked by the same promises, as well as having to put up with
fare hikes.

Frankly, I am terribly disappointed and hereby lodge a
protest. What is more, passengers together with an engine driver
alighted at will though stopping is forbidden at that station.

Railway passengers share the same opinion that the state
railway corporation and the Ministry of Communications are
nothing more than cheats. Until this problem is settled, train
users need to observe and exert control. Never give up demanding
the fulfillment of the pledge!
