Troops from Yonif 511/DY Task Force Build Resident's House in Konikme, Lanny Jaya
Wamena (ANTARA) - Soldiers from the Border Security Task Force (Satgas Pamtas) Yonif 511/DY have built a resident’s house in Konikme District, Lanny Jaya Regency, Central Papua. The Danpos Kotis of Satgas Pamtas Yonif 511/DY, Captain Inf Dwi Supriono, stated in a written release in Wamena on Monday that the house-building assistance serves as a form of territorial development and aid to communities in the remote areas of Papua. “We from the Kotis Post of Satgas Pamtas Yonif 511/DY have collectively built the house belonging to Ekinas Wenda (53) in Konikme District, Lanny Jaya Regency,” he said. “This programme is a tangible manifestation of the TNI’s concern for the local community, improving their quality of life through the construction of habitable homes in various areas such as Konikme Village, Tiom District, Lanny Jaya Regency,” he added. He explained that the atmosphere of mutual cooperation was evident as the TNI and residents worked shoulder to shoulder to assist in building the house of one of the locals on site. “The presence of the TNI makes the work feel lighter and faster, while also nurturing a spirit of togetherness with the community,” he said. He assured that the house-building activity in the highlands of Papua Pegunungan proceeded safely and smoothly.
