Tron and GHTS Strengthen Transportation Safety through AI Technology
Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Teknologi Karya Digital Nusa Tbk (TKDN/Tron) is partnering with PO Gunung Harta Transport Solution (GHTS) to introduce advanced artificial intelligence (AI) technology solutions aimed at bolstering passenger safety while elevating the quality of transportation services.
“We greatly appreciate PO GHTS’s dedication to setting new standards for land transportation services in Indonesia,” said Tron President Director David Santoso in a statement in Jakarta on Saturday.
In a continued effort to deliver superior, safe, and comfortable land transportation services, PT GHTS, one of the leading premium intercity and interprovincial (AKAP) bus operators, is once again taking progressive steps to enhance passenger services and safety.
Entering 2026, PO GHTS will officially elevate its operational standards by adopting advanced technology solutions through the addition of a fleet integrated with PT Tron’s smart ecosystem.
This initiative aims to provide the highest level of safety assurance for passengers, with PO GHTS continuing and expanding its strategic partnership with the company, which has been in place since 2023.
In 2026, GHTS will equip its additional 100-bus fleet with the latest Internet of Things (IoT) and artificial intelligence (AI) devices from PT Tron’s TAM Fleet, such as the Mobile Digital Video Recorder (MDVR), as well as smart camera systems for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and Driver Status Monitoring (DSM).
According to him, PO GHTS’s decision to invest in this technology is driven by the company’s commitment to not merely transporting passengers from one city to another, but to providing a safe travel experience without compromise.
The ADAS technology acts as an intelligent assistant that provides early warnings to drivers regarding potential collisions or lane deviations, he explained.
Meanwhile, the DSM feature monitors the driver’s physical condition in real-time to prevent risks from fatigue and loss of focus. All this data is closely monitored centrally by GHTS management.
“We are proud to continue being trusted as GHTS’s strategic partner in realising smarter, safer, and more modern mobility,” he stated.
Meanwhile, PT GHTS President Director I Gede Yoyok Santoso hopes that with this service and fleet upgrade, his company can continue to lead the national land transportation industry through technology integration in serving and protecting the wider community.
“Trust, comfort, and passenger safety are non-negotiable top priorities. To continuously improve our passenger transport services, we are proactively introducing advanced solutions on every vehicle,” he said.
He emphasised that the addition of 100 units of MDVR, ADAS, and DSM devices from PT Tron this year represents a tangible manifestation of that commitment.
“Our experience using this technology since 2023 has proven its effectiveness in maintaining driver discipline and overseeing operations, allowing our loyal passengers to enjoy journeys with peace of mind and security,” he added.
