Triumph over KKN crucial
Triumph over KKN crucial
From Media Indonesia
The government has waged a war against corruption, collusion
and nepotism (KKN). Governments over the years have had their own
ways of eliminating these social maladies and proving their
capabilities to the public.
So there has been the anticorruption law, the anticorruption
commission, the political contract with the consequence of
resignation from government posts, the threat of being sent to
prison on Nusakambangan Island and the risk of capital
punishment.
In fact, we have succeeded in various things like business
ventures, religious fasting, securing different diplomas and
jobs, even overcoming breast cancer. But the endeavor to conquer
KKN has always failed.
If we can triumph over KKN, the image of our nation will be
enhanced rather than blemished. The other victories we have made
only have individual dimensions and will not much improve the
nation's global reputation.
So, when will the triumph over KKN be achieved? Will it become
a reality through the government's 100-day drive, or in a year,
or in the next five years?
